Purpose of the LWVUS Climate change Task Force
The LWVUS Climate Change Task Force was first established in 2007.
League members who had pertinent experience and expertise were
recruited through an application process. In 2008, due to attrition and
an expanded requirement for more member information, new members were
recruited to the task force.
The task force works to provide information and assistance to the LWVUS
Board and staff on issues surrounding the broad topic of climate
change. The task force has produced a number of papers dealing with a
variety of issues and meets periodically via conference call to discuss
new assignments.
The members of the task force are:
Sarah Diefendorf, Off-Board Chair, LWV San Francisco, California
Vernadene Anderson, LWV Marion/Polk Co, Oregon;
Clara Anne Graham, LWV Lee Co., Florida;
Joyce Lanning, LWV Greater Birmingham, Alabama;
Ellyn Murphy, LWV Benton/Franklin Co., Washington;
Pam Person, LWV Downeast, Maine;
Eleanor Revelle, LWV Evanston, Illinois;
Linda Silversmith, LWV Montgomery Co., Maryland;
Robin Tokmakian, LWV Monterey Peninsula, California; and
Chad Tolman, LWV of Delaware
Judy Duffy, LWVUS Board and liaison to the task force
These task force members generously share their time and expertise
with the LWV to provide pertinent and useful information to League
members to assist in their work on climate change. |
