Support Us

The League depends on the generosity of individual supporters and members, foundations and corporations to fund its citizen education and advocacy activities.

Contributions to the League of Women Voters® of the United States (LWVUS) provide direct support for the League’s work mobilizing citizens and influencing public policy through advocacy.

Contributions to the League of Women Voters® Education Fund (LWVEF) provide direct support for our citizen education, public engagement and research activities at home and around the world in emerging democracies. Please note that only contributions to the LWVEF are tax deductible.

Contribute Online or by Phone or Mail
You can make your donation to the LWVUS or LWVEF online, safely and securely, or by phone (202/429-1965) to provide immediate support for the League’s work. If you prefer, you can fill out either online form, then print and mail it with your check or credit card information.

Donations can be made In Memoriam, to remember someone special by giving a gift in their memory, or In Honor of someone close to you for a birthday, anniversary, wedding or other special occasion.

Participate in the League’s prestigious group of individual major supporters making annual contributions of $1,000 and greater. League Leaders for Democracy enjoy the satisfaction of knowing they are strengthening the League’s impact as an advocate for our citizen-led democracy, as well as special benefits.

Raise Money for the League-Just by Searching the Web!
On Thursday, March 29th, the League of Women Voters Education Fund will be Goodsearch.com's featured "Charity of the Day"! On or before that day, click above, designate the LWVEF as your charity, and search the web as you normally would. For every search, about a penny will go to support the League's important voter education activities.

Gifts of Stock

Partners in Democracy
Become a monthly donor of $10.00 or more. By enrolling in our automatic payment plan and having your monthly donation transferred automatically from your checking or credit card account, you will provide stable support for the League’s work while saving us the added expense of processing your contribution each month.
