The Congressional Meeting The election of a new Congress gives state and local Leagues the opportunity to meet with newly elected and returning members of Congress. The primary purpose of the congressional meeting is to help you develop a working relationship with your representatives on Capitol Hill. It will also helpful for the LWVUS to be able to gauge support for some important issues in the upcoming 111th Congress.
