Let us Know What Action Your League is Taking!

With the adoption of the new position on Immigration Policy, LWVUS has received a number of inquiries about the application of the position.  Click here to view the position.  State and local Leagues may use the position for action at their levels of government after consideration by the appropriate League board. The new position provides for federal enforcement of immigration laws and full due process rights for immigrants. State and local Leagues may oppose efforts in their communities to deport, detain or harass unauthorized immigrants who have no history of serious criminal activity.

If your League is taking action using the immigration position, please let us know by filling out the downloadable form below! The background you provide can help build our information base for this new position and assist other Leagues seeking to use the position. The LWVUS is monitoring federal legislation and will let Leagues know when there are opportunities for effective action at the national level.  If your League is taking action, please let us know by filling out this downloadable form and either emailing or printing and mailing it to the LWVUS office. Completed forms can be emailed to Christina Vamvas, Grassroots Lobbyist, at cvamvas@lwv.org or mailed to Christina Vamvas, League of Women Voters, 1730 M Street NW #1000, Washington, DC 20036.
