Congratulations to the League of Voters of Indiana!

The Indiana Court of Appeals voted unanimously this week to overturn a state law requiring voters to show government-issued photo identification, citing violation of the state Constitution, and agreeing with the League of Women Voters, plaintiffs in the case. "[We] conclude that the Voter I.D. law violates Indiana Constitution Article 1, Section 23, and must be declaired void because it regulates voters in a manner that is not uniform and impartial."

Read reactions from Karen Kay Leonard, president of the Indiana League, and Mary G. Wilson, national League president, here.
