In reviewing states (CT, DE, DC, FL, GA, ME, MD, MA, NH, NJ, NC, OH, PA, RI, SC, VT, VA and WV) that have been affected by Hurricane Sandy we found that most states have not changed their voting procedures. However, some states that were hardest hit have extended hours for registration and early voting.

Does the early voter get the proverbial “worm”? Last week, I finally reached the end of the road – or road trip – in Minnesota. Wrapping up an eight-state election 2012 tour in Minnesota was fitting as the state League is still engaged in an all-out campaign to defeat a confusing proposal to amend the state constitution. The proposed amendment, if passed, would require restrictive voter photo ID.
Tonight’s debate gives voters like you one more chance to see and hear both major candidates on the same stage responding to the same questions. Once you know where they stand on the issues important to you, commit to voting in this election.
