VOTE411.org Election Information You Need

It seems like we’re in a non-stop election cycle! People have been talking about the 2012 elections since the day after the 2008 election, and we still have months to go until we head to the polls in November.

This Independence Day honor our nation and democracy by sharing VOTE411.org, a “one-stop-shop” for election related information, with your friends and family and helping to make sure that they are registered to vote and have the information they need when they vote this fall.

When we enter the voting booth there will be more than just residency in the Oval Office on the line. It’s about you. This election will impact you and the people in your life. It’s about your job, your health, your community, your future. This is your chance to stand up for what you believe in—and make sure your family and friends do, too.

The League of Women Voters is committed to making sure voters have all of the information they need to participate in the election and ensure their vote counts. Since 2006, VOTE411.org has provided tens of millions of voters with information about the election process, including absentee ballot information, early voting options, registration deadlines, ID requirements, important information regarding any changes you can expect to see at the polls this year, and information directly from the candidates regarding their vision for America’s future.

Share this blog with your friends and family, so they can use VOTE411.org to make sure they are registered to vote and up-to-date on the information they need prior to Election Day, including information on ballot measures and candidates, their polling place, and important deadlines to remember.

Thank you for joining us in making democracy work during this important election year.

Happy Independence Day!
