When we approach prospective members, more often than not, their response for not joining has to do with time:

  • I'm involved with other activities
  • I have no time for another organization
  • My family responsibilities keep me from joining
  • My work requires all of my time
  • I am away for the winter

Years ago, I came across this valuable recruitment tool... probably at a national convention workshop! Conventions are so important...not only for taking care of the nitty-gritty items like the budget, bylaws, election and program, but networking and picking up little tidbits like this!. So, I am sure that some of you have seen this before.

My local League had distributed it at meetings and mailed it to new and prospective members. It is time for its resurrection! I've updated it a bit and I am sure you can all add to the list. Please share them with us!
