Dear Senators:

On behalf of our millions of members and supporters we want to thank you for continuing to stand strong against attempts to load up 2014 appropriations bills with destructive policy riders that threaten the nation’s clean water and climate and our natural resources upon which people and wildlife depend.

Policy riders like those being proposed won’t affect government spending and don’t belong on spending bills.  They will put at risk Clean Water Act safeguards for nearly 2 million miles of streams and our ability to combat climate change while cutting short the public’s ability to comment and engage in shaping these safeguards.

We owe it to the next generation to stand up for clean water and clean air, and I hope you will continue to do everything in your power to block these attempts to circumvent the public by sneaking these dangerous, major policy decisions onto spending bills.

Sincerely,
