VOTE411 Widgets

Launched by the League of Women Voters Education Fund (LWVEF) in October of 2006, VOTE411.org is a "one-stop-shop" for election related information. It provides nonpartisan information to the public with both general and state-specific information, including the location of polling places.

To help expand access to this information, the League built several VOTE411.org widgets for use by state and local Leagues and individuals on their websites. These widgets are free for anyone to use.

How to Download and Use the Widgets:

1. Choose a widget from the below sample (the name is listed just above each widget)
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and download the file that matches the name of the widget you want.
3. Open and extract the files from the download zip file. Each zip file should contain
   1. the SWF file for the widget to upload to your website
   2. HTML code to be copied into your website
4. Edit the HTML insert code supplied in teh zip file. Make sure you update the below to point to the correct location for the widget flash file on your web site.

5. Load the Update HTML to your Web site. The Widget should now appear on your web site.
