Council members in Naperville, CA, agreed with Jane Barnes, League of Women Voters of Naperville president, when she asked for a public meeting (in each district) on a proposed map of voting districts, saying: “There may be no single decision you’ve had to make that goes so directly to the heart of representative government and the belief the people, all of the people, can and will be heard.” Council members agreed to do so, and will start with a citywide meeting! The city also plans to place an interactive map on its website and allow electronic feedback. Read more here.
