| MaggieThis week the League launched its 2012 First-time Voter Registration Project nationwide. LWVEF will be working with about 25 Leagues in 16 states through the fall to register and engage young voters, new citizens, and other newcomers to the election process! Impact of LWV High School Registration Project Felt Nationwide
| MaggieLeagues in 21 communities recently wrapped up their work on the LWVEF 2012 High School Voter Registration Project. All in all, the fabulous volunteer teams visited a total of 166 schools and helped more than 8,500 young people register to vote for the first time!

20 Years of Registering Voters in High School!
| ShirleySocial Studies teacher Jan Goldberg has been registering voters who turn 18 at Riverside-Brookfield High School in the Chicago (IL) suburbs for 20 years! She explains: “I use about 20 students a year to help and act as deputy registrars.” County officials come to the school to train and deputize the students.
