Convention 2014 in Dallas TX

Nominations for National Board - Deadline September 30!
The Nominating Committee does not actually nominate people. You, the members, do that! And we are actively seeking recommendations now for LWVUS National Board for 2014-2016. So if you know someone you think would be a good national leader, please nominate them and help us build another great LWVUS Board!

  • League of Women Voters Name and Logo Guidelines

The League of Women Voters’ logo, like our name, is our identity. It conveys the full collective power of the LWV mission to the public, our members and supporters. It is very important to maintain the integrity and consistency of our trademarked name and logo. Over the years we have seen attempts to capitalize on the League’s brand through deceptive alterations of our name and/or logo by other organizations. The name and logo have been legally trademarked by LWVUS and are owned by LWVUS on behalf of all the state and local groups who are part of our organization. Hence, LWVUS is responsible for protecting our brand and, in turn, those who are part of our family need to use it appropriately. We have established these guidelines in order to maintain the integrity of and reinforce our identity.
  • Climate Change: Carbon Rule Regulations Letter to the Editor Template

On September, 20 the Environmental Protection Agency announced the updated regulations on carbon pollution for new power plants. Use this letter to the editor template to bring attention to this life-saving measure that will protect our children, our nation and the world from the devastating effects of climate change.
  • Outreach Activities around Historic Milestones for Women

While League has always been more than a “women’s organization,” our founding and our history make it only natural that we should acknowledge and mark certain milestones for women. This document contains a list of suggested activities that Leagues could implement anytime, but might be planned around one of these milestones as the “hook” to spark wider interest.
  • Special Action for Local League Presidents

As a local League leader and influential voice in your community, you have a unique opportunity to speak out on important issues. That is why we need you to share the League’s point of view on a critical national issue.
