Convention 2014 in Dallas TX

Nominations for National Board - Deadline September 30!
The Nominating Committee does not actually nominate people. You, the members, do that! And we are actively seeking recommendations now for LWVUS National Board for 2014-2016. So if you know someone you think would be a good national leader, please nominate them and help us build another great LWVUS Board!

  • Management Team Model

The Management Team has four or more persons doing the work as listed under the Traditional Presidency. Leagues that use this model often have the rest of the board follow the traditional model: one or more vice-presidents, a secretary and treasurer, or secretary/treasurer, and a pre-determined number of elected and appointed directors. Learn more about running a successful management team here.
  • ABC's of a Streamlined League

The League is one organization with three levels. Remember that you have people resources -- from volunteer colleagues such as yourself in other local Leagues to your state League and your LWVUS Board Liaisons. Sharing ideas and supporting each other between levels of the League is an important benefit of belonging to the League! Leadership in the League can be easy and fun! This publication created by the LWVUS Streamlining Committee composed of LWVUS Board Members and Staff will help you make it so.
  • PMP - What Does It Go For?

With each level of League focused on its own sphere of influence – but working collaboratively for the common good – the League of Women Voters demonstrates its unique power to combine this broad range of skills and resources to “Make Democracy Work” for all Americans! LWVUS plays an important part – and so do all of you! PMP covers 23% of the cost programs in the LWVUS/LWVEF budget.
