Convention 2014 in Dallas TX

Nominations for National Board - Deadline September 30!
The Nominating Committee does not actually nominate people. You, the members, do that! And we are actively seeking recommendations now for LWVUS National Board for 2014-2016. So if you know someone you think would be a good national leader, please nominate them and help us build another great LWVUS Board!

  • Sample Get-Out-The-Vote Email and Phone Scripts

Utilize these sample get-out-the-vote scripts (email and telephone) to customize and send reminders to your social networks, people you’ve helped register, and other contacts. Research shows that sending these reminders are most effective in the final week or few days leading up to Election Day, but it’s a good idea to start planning your outreach now.
  • VOTE411.org Widgets and QR codes

Below are demonstrations of the two versions of the new VOTE411.org widget, available for your use. You can download the widgets code from the links below. Both logos have a width of 202 px and a height of 288.
  • Conduct Voter Registration at Wrestling Events!

The League is once again teaming up with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) to encourage voter registration and participation among young and first-time voters. Leagues are invited to conduct voter registration at live wrestling events across the country. Check the calendar below for events scheduled near you, and contact Maggie Duncan (Mduncan@lwv.org) if you would like to be connected to the organizers of a scheduled event near you. The calendar will be updated as additional dates become available.
  • Management Tips: Voter Service Chair

Our voters service work is often the first thing the public thinks of when they hear mention of the League of Women Voters. The basic principle of voters service is nonpartisanship--providing unbiased, factual information to help citizens make their own informed decisions on election day. It is always separate from advocacy.
