The League of Women Voters of South Carolina joined The Southeastern Institute for Women in Politics at the Statehouse to mark Women’s Equality Day with a press conference about the status of women in government.  Sarah Leverette, Board member of the South Carolina Women Lawyers Association and member of the League of Women Voters of Columbia, spoke to the crowd about the importance of having women on the bench and featured the ongoing judicial initiative.
