The LWV of Indianapolis celebrates Women's Equality Day, registers First Time Voter!

The LWV of Indianapolis invited members and friends to attend a WNBA Indiana Fever game to celebrate Women's Equality Day.
The League was chosen as "Group of the Game" and received Indiana Fever posters, as well as being featured on the jumbotron during the 4th quarter of the game.
Members of the League staffed an information table and registered voters at the event. After the game, a young lady approached the table with her aunt; she wanted to register to vote. The young lady's aunt was encouring her niece to vote, saying how important it is to make your voice heard, especially since the family has members in the military fighting for freedom.
The League was also able to take a photo of the niece as she was registrering. Her aunt later commented on the photo, saying how proud she was of her niece for registeringto vote.
She also thanked the League of Women Voters for being available to make this happen.
