Protecting and Engaging Voters
The League has been fighting for equal access to the polls for more than 90 years. Nationwide, we register voters, provide nonpartisan election information, including written statements directly from the candidates and live debates, and fight for elections systems that are free, fair and accessible. Today, we face significant challenges to our representative system of government and voting rights. Our work ensures that all eligible voters, particularly underrepresented populations, can exercise their right to vote. -
Reforming Money in Politics
The League is deeply committed to reforming our nation's campaign finance system to ensure the public's right to know, combat corruption and undue influence, enable candidates to compete more equitably for public office and allow maximum citizen participation in the political process. We will continue this fight in Congress, with state legislatures, with the executive branch and, where appropriate, the courts. -

The League fights to protect the environment and the public’s health. Wise management of natural resources and energy production is critical for our nation’s future.

Protect the health and safety of citizens through limiting the accessibility and regulating the ownership of handguns and semi-automatic weapons. Support regulation of firearms for consumer safety.
