Over two months ago, we began imploring you to submit comments to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in support of their proposed regulation to limit carbon pollution from new power plants.
We’ve continued to update you on the environmental community’s progress. We reached nearly a million comments within two weeks. We then surpassed a million, and last week we surpassed TWO million!
Last week we told you about an attempt by Senator Jim Inhofe and a vocal minority that would have eliminated an historic regulation issued by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Today the U.S. Senate voted to reject that effort!
Last week, the League and coalition partners announced that through grassroots efforts over one million Americans have shown their support for new standards by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The standard would curb industrial carbon pollution from new power plants and clean up the air we breathe.
This week we got the exciting news, that along with our coalition partners, we’ve collected nearly one million comments on the Environmental Protection Agency‘s (EPA) new Industrial Carbon Regulation! Our coalition partners have already delivered these comments over and presented them to the EPA, but we’re not done yet – submit your comment today!

“EPA’s action on new fossil-fuel power plants is a necessary and long-delayed first step in controlling the carbon pollution that is harming our health,” she said.
