From 1920 Through Today, the League of Women Voters Empowers Voters

Ninety-two years ago this week, after a seventy-two year struggle, the 19th Amendment giving women the right to vote became law. The League of Women Voters was founded just six months prior to this huge advancement, and began as a "mighty political experiment" designed to help 20 million women carry out their new responsibilities as voters.
