More than 1,000 League leaders from across the country will meet in Washington, DC for the League of Women Voters' 54th National Convention June 25–28, 2020.

Share the great work that your League has done during the past biennium (July 2018 – June 2020) by applying for a Convention award.

The 2020 Convention Awards will reflect the Leagues' goals of strengthening democracy for all ,partnering with our communities through a diverse, equitable and inclusive lens, and using the power of storytelling in a variety of ways.

All applications should be made using the online forms (see below)and are due on May 14.

Convention registration will offer several options. Please read the following to help you select the option that best fits your desired Convention experience. 

Update on Potential Impact of the Coronavirus:

Please know that LWVUS's first priority is the health, safety and well-being of everyone involved with Convention. We are taking all developments concerning the Coronavirus (Covid-19) very seriously and all impacts and changes to Convention will be shared with members as they are decided.

All are invited to attend a performance by the Capitol Steps on Friday evening. Proceeds from the ticket sales will go to the League of Women Voters of the National Capital Area

The LWV has reserved a block of rooms at three hotels for the 2020 Convention.

Notice: Due to the ongoing situation around COVID-19 as of March 24 the Yotel Liaison Washington Capitol Hill is closed through September. All attendees who reserved rooms there have been contacted by the hotel and have had the reservation cancelled. Attendees are welcome to reserve rooms at one of the other two hotels.
