The Your Vote is Your Voice! Empowered Women Vote seeks to empower women in our community, particularly those underserved, to better engage them in the political process.

To celebrate Women’s History Month and the League's history of Making Democracy Work®, we’ve put together a brief slide show highlighting a few of the our accomplishments over the last 96 years.

Our 2016 Youth Voter Registration Program has registered over 4,000 young voters so far! Early data from the Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement show that young people are voting in primaries at levels we have not seen for some time.

The League is proud to join forces with recording artists Patty Griffin, Sara Watkins and Anais Mitchell on the “Use Your Voice Tour.” At each show, local League volunteers talk on stage about the importance of voting and the various elections occurring this and every year.

The League of Women Voters of the United States, alongside its Alabama, Georgia and Kansas affiliates, filed a federal lawsuit against the executive director of the Election Assistance Commission to prevent these states from requiring documentary proof-of-citizenship when registering voters using the federal mail voter registration form.

The U.S. Supreme Court temporarily put the Obama Administration's ‪‎Clean Power Plan.
