The National Association of Broadcasters and LWV have launched a voter education campaign featuring public service announcements that will air from August 3 to Election Day.

The League  supports these voting rights principles to ensure voters can safely participate in elections in 2020. These policy recommendations were carefully crafted with Impact on Issues positions at top of mind and reconciled with our work with coalition voting rights partners in response to the current global pandemic.

LWVEF has again asked the candidates running for President to provide answers to some of the most pressing public policy questions. For the first time, the candidates were asked to respond in both English and Spanish languages. Those candidates that meet LWVEF’s criteria have been invited to participate in this activity. The LWVEF Board is happy to have again undertaken this crucial voters' service project.

The Election Audits Task Force was convened in spring 2008 by President Mary Wilson with the charge to produce a report taking a comprehensive view of election audits. Audits should go beyond Election Day activities and functions, and examine all aspects of the election process. Leagues should find this report useful in talking with their legislatures and elections officials about election auditing.

LWVUS is providing the following guidance to Leagues regarding how to work with election officials to ensure that states are using monies granted through the 2018 Omnibus bill wisely and effectively. 

A list of questions developed to help Leagues ask specific questions that will assist them in identifying issues and problems that may exist at various points in the election process.
