Before the House's failed attempt to repeal the Affordable Care Act, the League joined other organizations on a letter to Speaker Ryan and Leader Pelosi opposing policies in the American Health Car
The League joined women's groups on a letter opposing the repeal of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and defunding Planned Parenthood.
The League sent a memo to the U.S. House of Representatives urging them to not disrupt the health coverage of millions of Americans.
The League joined with 61 other health care and reproductive rights organizations in support of $327 million in funding for the Title X Family Planning program in a letter to House and Senate Appropriations Subcommittee Chairs and Ranking Minority members.
On the sixth anniversary of the signing of the Affordable Care Act, the U.S. Supreme Court will be hearing arguments in the case of Zubik v. Burwell, which challenges the health care law's contraceptive coverage provision.
The League joined environmental partners in opposing the Blocking Regulatory Interference from Closing Kilns Act of 2016, or BRICK Act (H.R. 4557).

In addition to lobbying the 114th Congress in support of our priorities, the League is working on a number of important policy proposals put forth by the President and agencies of the federal government. We will also be participating in litigation that could have a major impact on laws and regulations.
The League joined comments sent to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) on proposed regulations governing training for Affordable Care Act (ACA) navigators.
“The League applauds the historic step made by the Obama Administration to fully reject the Keystone XL pipeline,” said Elisabeth MacNamara, president of the League of Women Voters of the United States.
