Increasing Voter Registration

Activists are arranging in-person meetings with incoming members of the 116th House of Representatives and dropping in to have conversations with staff members on the need for HR 1, the first bill that the House plans to take up in January. 

This past Election day, Michigan voters approved Proposals 2 and 3, creating an independent redistricting commission and expanding access to the polls.

The League celebrates 2018 midterms voting rights victories in Florida, Maryland, and Michigan. When it came to issues of elections, voters overwhelmingly selected to expand voting rights.

This National Voter Registration Day, Leagues in more than 40 states will host over 400 registration events.

Arizonans who recently updated their address with the Motor Vehicles Division  may not have had their voter registration updated. Now is the time for voters to check their registration status.

Tuesday, September 25 is National Voter Registration Day (NVRD)! This year, a record-breaking 400 LWV affiliates have signed up to hit the streets and help register voters.

The League of Women Voters Education Fund (LWVEF) and Rose Community Management (RCM), an affiliate of Jonathan Rose Companies (JRCo), are joining forces to empower voters to make use of their electoral power in 2018.

League of Women Voters volunteers nationwide have passed a major milestone: hosting more than 600 school registration drives and registering nearly 20,000 students to vote so far this year.
