In last night’s annual State of the Union (SOTU) address, President Obama laid out his priorities for the coming year. Here’s the rundown of what he said on our issues and how it aligns with League positions.

“When you’re talking about changing the world, you don’t need permission and no one will tell you how to do it.” That was the message of the Make Progress national summit, hosted by Generation Progress and held just blocks from The White House.

The League sent a letter to the U.S. House urging them to pass immigration reform and ensure that a path to citizenship is available to all who remain legally in the United States.

The Senate passed a comprehensive immigration reform bill today. There are some troublesome items in the bill, but overall it is a positive step forward.
