Women's Inequality Day: League Toolkit
Join us Aug. 26 – Aug. 30 for our Women's Inequality Day campaign. This toolkit outlines social media and messaging guidance for Leagues.

Table of Contents
Overview
August 26, otherwise known as Women's Equality Day, marks the anniversary of the certification of the 19th Amendment, which granted some women the right to vote. Yet today, women have fewer rights than they'd had in decades. To recognize this, we acknowledge Women's Inequality Day.
Our Campaign
This year’s campaign will run Aug. 26 – 30 and center around empowering women to make their voices heard at the ballot box by equipping them with essential voter information. Throughout the week, we will have a different action for voters to take, like verifying their voter registration and learning how women voters turn out throughout the country. The daily actions are:
- Day 1: Monday, Aug. 26 | Share the campaign in your community
- Day 2: Tuesday, Aug. 27 | Verify your voter registration
- Day 3: Wednesday, Aug. 28 | Become a Poll Worker
- Day 4: Thursday, Aug. 29 | The Power of Women
- Day 5: Friday, Aug. 30 | Share what women's issue you're voting for
We recognize that Leagues may already have content or campaigns planned for Women's Equality Day. This toolkit is available for Leagues interested in participating in our campaign. Leagues are not required to align with LWVUS's messaging around Women's Equality Day.
