On August 8, 2026, join the League and our partners as we host a nationwide day of civic action in honor of the anniversary of the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
Start Here: Plan Your August 8 Action
As part of Power Playbook #5: People Power Summer, Leagues across the country are preparing for Unite & Rise for Voting Rights — a nationwide Day of Action on August 8.
To support your planning, we’ve created two core resources to help you get started and move from idea to execution:
- Planning Toolkit — step-by-step guidance to help you plan, organize, and carry out your event
- Menu of Activations — a quick, accessible guide to help your League choose an action that fits your capacity
We recommend starting with the Menu of Activations to identify your approach, then using the Planning Toolkit to build your plan.
Download both resources below and begin planning your League’s participation. Then, follow the instructions below to register your League's action by May 15th!
Register Your League
An events feature has been added to the ChapterSpot portal to enable us to track nationwide initiatives and better understand our reach and collective power. Going forward, when there is a national event such as the August 8th Day of Action, each League can use the portal to register its activity, rather than using an external form as we've done in the past.
To register your League's event, officers should log in to the portal on ChapterSpot. Once logged in, click on the new Events icon. Once in Events, click Submit Event and select the Type of Activation your League plans to hold for the Day of Action, and add in the Event Contact and Email. Then, select Proposed for the stage, and submit the event! In a few weeks, there will be fields available for your League to enter event details such as time, date, and location.
