Cecile Scoon is an employment attorney whose practice focuses on protecting workers from unlawful discrimination based on race, religion, age, disability, national origin, and sex. A graduate of Harvard University and the University of Virginia School of Law, she served five years as an active-duty judge advocate in the US Air Force, prosecuting courts-martial, and retired from the US Air Force Reserve as a major. 

A longtime League leader, Cecile has served as both president and co-president of the League of Women Voters of Florida and previously as President of the League of Women Voters of Bay County. She also chaired the League's Florida Restoration of Rights team and previously led its Health Care team, helping advance statewide advocacy and civic engagement initiatives. 

In recognition of her commitment to expanding access to justice and voting rights, Cecile received the 2021 Florida Bar President's Pro Bono Service Award for the 14th Judicial Circuit. She developed Florida Bar-approved continuing legal education programs and trained more than 1,000 attorneys to assist individuals with felony convictions in restoring their voting rights. 

Beyond the League, Cecile is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and a lifetime member of the Bay County Branch of the NAACP. She is committed to strengthening partnerships between the League and community organizations, expanding civic participation, and advancing equal access to democracy for all.
