Heather Koslov (she/her/hers) serves as the national development director for the League of Women Voters of the United States. In this role, she ensures that the League has the resources and relationships needed to achieve its mission, vision, and values.
Over the past 12 years, Heather has advanced the development efforts of a variety of DC nonprofits, including Sixth & I, Venture Philanthropy Partners, Sitar Arts Center, and Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts. Most recently, Heather served as the Development Director for The Sentencing Project, where she raised over $15 million dollars to advance the organization’s national criminal legal reform research and advocacy.
Heather received her undergraduate degree from The University of Texas, Austin, and holds a Master’s degree from American University. She is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and a proud member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
Outside of work, Heather enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her husband, Grant, and labradoodle, Lucy. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Free Minds Book Club and Writing Workshop, a DC-based nonprofit that uses books, creative writing, and peer support to help justice-impacted youth and adults.
