The 53rd League of Women Voters of the United States Convention

Blog / Last Updated:

From June 28 – July 1 members of the League of Women Voters will gather from all over the country to participate in the 53rd LWV National Convention: Creating A More Perfect Democracy.

The League is excited to have the opportunity to come together and visit with one another. At the convention, significant issues such as budget, program and election of officers, education and advocacy will be addressed. There will also be training modules, planning for our upcoming 100th anniversary, networking and celebrations, and a banquet.

Throughout the wonderful schedule, there will also be time for League members to explore Chicago. Members will have the opportunity to stay at the historic Chicago Hilton Hotel. The LWVIL and Chicago area Leagues are working hard to make sure convention-goers have options to tour Chicago’s unique cultural, architectural, and natural highlights – right outside our centrally located hotel – on Museum Mile and near the city’s convenient mass transit routes.

Erin Roeper, LWVIL Board member and LAC Chair, commented “We are thrilled to be hosting the 2018 LWVUS Convention in our magnificent city of Chicago. Volunteers are already working diligently to ensure that this year’s convention will be a memorable one for all attendees!”

We are all excited for League members from around the country to experience the great League spirit and energy!
