League of Women Voters Statement on Las Vegas Shooting

Washington, DC - League of Women Voters president Chris Carson issued the following statement in response to the deadliest mass shooting in its modern history.

“Our hearts are broken this day as our nation watched in horror as a gunman reigned terror on innocent concert-goers. As we grieve for the victims and those who lost loved ones, we are horrified, angry and frustrated that our country once again faces a new record for bloodshed in the worst mass shooting. Our thoughts and prayers are with the city of Las Vegas during this terrible tragedy.”
