LWV Partners with Grammys Brunch to Promote Voting in 2020

LOS ANGELES & WASHINGTON – The League of Women Voters Education Fund and Family Tree Entertainment are teaming up to promote voting at the 9th Annual Pre-Grammy Managers’ Brunch. Hosted by Blu Williams and celebrating the achievements in music industry on the eve of the award show, this year a focus on voting will encourage attendees to get out the vote in 2020.  

“It's so important that we all exercise that right and make our voices heard,” said Virginia Kase, CEO of the League of Women Voters. “We are thrilled the Grammy’s Manager Brunch will encourage attendees to check their voter status and spread the word about voting in 2020.” 

The awards program will honor women in the music and entertainment industry with the first ever Breaking Glass Ceilings Awards. The event at Hyde on Sunset will also feature a VOTE411 selfie booth for attendees to spread the word about voting through social media photos.  Hosted by Michael “Blue” Williams with special guest, longtime friend and client Nick Cannon, honorees at the brunch event include Jeff Robinson (Alicia Keys, H.E.R.), Justin Lamotte (Ari Lennox, Ro James), and Carrie Lyn Taylor (Anderson Paak).

“With 2020 being the year of the woman, it’s a natural fit to partner with the League of Women Voters,” said April Q. Russell, Family Tree Entertainment Senior Vice President of Strategy & Creative Development and Producer of the Pre-Grammy Manager's Brunch. “We want to promote the use of Vote411. As we celebrate the teams of diligent individuals who make Grammy Artist shine. We also want to encourage the Grammy Managers, social influencers, sports & entertainment industry professionals attending our annual Pre-Grammy Brunch and their followers to participate in the 2020 election.”
