At its 2014 Annual Meeting, the League of Women Voters of Central Yavapai Country celebrated its 20thanniversary and elected a new board of directors. The new board is attending a retreat June 1 to plan for the coming year.
The May event included a speech from special guest Karen Despain, Managing Editor of The Daily Courier newspaper. She discussed her role as a long-time staff member, as well as changes in design and coverage of the news as the internet plays a more influential role.
