Texans Must do a Better Job of Getting to the Polls

What if there were an election and no one showed up to vote?

We would no longer live in a democracy. Our government would no longer derive its powers from the consent of the governed. We would not celebrate July Fourth.

Of course, the end of voting and democracy is not about to happen. Far too many Americans in the past 238 years have given their lives to uphold the principles of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution upon which our representative democracy is based.
