Dear Women of America,
Today the League of Women Voters of the United States celebrates 100 years of empowering voters and defending democracy.
As we celebrate this historic milestone and commemorate this year’s centennial of the 19th Amendment, we do so humbly, knowing that not all women were able to exercise their Constitutional right to vote in 1920, and still today far too many are left behind.
That is why we ask you to join us to stand together in our power to ensure that every voter’s voice is heard at the ballot box in 2020. Let’s show the world what democracy looks like.
February 14 is our Day of Action, and more than 350 events are taking place around our country to build the next generation of diverse women leaders and voting rights activists. We invite all people, regardless of gender, gender identity, ethnicity, or race, to join us as we build a stronger, more inclusive democracy.
With hope and gratitude,
Chris Carson, President
