Council & Convention

Nominations for LWVUS Board of Directors and Nominating Committee were open from August 23, 2023, through October 27, 2023.

LWVUS has reserved a limited number of meeting rooms at the Washington Hilton for local and state Leagues to sponsor caucuses or workshops during the 2024 Convention. In the spirit of our hybrid Convention we are also holding space in the days leading up to Convention for virtual caucuses or workshops.

LWVUS provides a designated area at Convention for a limited number of tables for Leagues wishing to exhibit and/or sell their wares to Convention attendees.  In the spirit of our hybrid Convention Leagues will also have the choice of submitting information to a virtual Wares Market.

Leagues that are unable to fulfill their financial obligation and wish to vote at Convention 2024 may file a hardship claim with the LWVUS Board.

One of the many important business items at the national convention is the review and possible amendment of the LWVUS Bylaws. Below is the process that Leagues should use to propose an amendment. All proposed amendments are reviewed by the Bylaws Committee.

The submission deadline was February 26.
