Glenbard [IL] students to participate in mock election
"Elmhurst’s League of Women Voters will be at Glenbard East on Oct. 2 to help local election authorities and Glenbard teachers and students run the election."
Young voters are becoming a force in American politics, and as a result, anti-voter state legislatures are going to great lengths to add hurdles for young voters.
In spite of these barriers, young voters are energetic, organized, and ready to make their voices heard.
On November 6, 2016, I woke up at 5am and headed to a San Francisco museum, preparing myself for a 12-hour shift as a poll worker. I spent the day witnessing democracy in action.
