Why It Matters
The leaders we elect make decisions that affect our daily lives. Elections are our chance to stand up for what matters most to us and to have an impact on the issues that affect us, our communities, our families and our future.
What We're Doing
We host hundreds of candidate debates and forums across the country each year and provide straightforward information about candidates and ballot issues. Through print and online resources, including VOTE411.org, we equip voters with essential information about the election process in each state, including polling place hours and locations, ballot information, early or absentee voting rules, voter registration deadlines, ID requirements and more.

“On Friday, the United States Department of Justice announced it will seek a trial regarding Florida’s controversial elections law overhaul, passed last year by the state Legislature. ... A court in Tallahassee is also currently considering a challenge to the law by the League of Women Voters of Florida, Rock the Vote, Florida PIRG, and others.”
“The League of Women Voters Sedona-Verde Valley has been chosen as a Sector Partner for the O'Connor House Centennial Voter Engagement Project and its goal to move Arizona to the "top states" in informed voter participation.”
“I found the League of Women Voters’ Education Fund website, www.vote411.org, to be an easy and incredibly useful place to learn when primary elections or caucuses will be held in your state, how to register, where to vote, even information for those serving now in the military or travelling overseas during an election.”
