The League of Women Voters joined about 70 other organizations in urging the US Senate to actively support the DISCLOSE Act, pass it, and move it to President Biden’s desk. 

The League reached out to welcome Director Santos who was confirmed to the Census Bureau earlier this year. Census work is incredibly important to our democracy. 

The SEC requested public comments on a proposed amendment to the Securities Act of 1933 and Securities Exchange Act 1934 . The League supports the proposed amendment.

The League supports bringing the Civics Secures Democracy Act for debate and passage to promote an informed citizenship via K-12 education nationwide. 

The Leadership Conference organized a letter requesting federal agencies to strongly implement President Biden’s 2021 Executive Order promoting access to voting.

The League of Women Voters of the United States joined a letter with more than 120 other groups addressed to social media platform leaders urging them to control the spread of disinformation online, especially as we head into midterm elections this year.

 

LWVUS sent a letter to members of the US Senate asking them to vote yes on S4132, legislation that would codify a woman's right to reproductive choice, including access to abortion services.  

Over 100 organizations signed a letter to Members of Congress urging them to reject any proposed extension to Title 42.
