We signed a letter asking the Senate to increase funding for the EPA's Nonpoint Source Management Program under the Clean Water Act. The funding levels requested have been approved by the U.S. House.

With 136 organizations, we wrote to Congressional leadership to ask that provisions that promote health care access for millions of people in the U.S. and globally be included in the final budget.

The LWVIA notified the Secretary of State that some voters were wrongfully listed as felons and thus disenfranchised, a violation of Section 8 of the National Voter Registration Act of 1993.

The League joined letters to the Census Project and other affiliates calling on Congress to support the funding levels for the Census Bureau appropriated in the FY 2020 Commerce, Justice, Science Appropriations bill. 

The League sent a letter to U.S. Senators encouraging them to support and pass a resolution making September National Democracy Month.
