Fighting Voter Suppression

The Senate committee on Rules and Administration held a voting rights field hearing in Atlanta, GA.

We applaud President Biden for elevating the need for the For the People Act and we urge him to use the full weight of the presidency to see this bill become law.

New programming focus will cover countering mis- and disinformation, increasing election participation, advancing voter access, and reforming redistricting  

The New Hampshire Supreme Court on Friday voted in a 4-0 decision that a 2017 state law requiring proof of residence to vote is unconstitutional, saying that it "imposes unreasonable burdens on the right to vote."

SCOTUS upheld Arizona's out-of-precinct policy, which does not allow the counting of ballots cast outside of the voter's designated precinct, and Arizona's ballot collection law, which permits only certain individuals to handle another person's completed early ballot.

In light of today’s ruling, it is more important than ever that Congress act quickly to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and the For the People Act.
