LWVUS submitted a letter to members of the Senate asking for them to co-sponsor S.Res. 672, a bipartisan Senate resolution to establish September 2020 as National Democracy Month. 

The Senate legislation fails. It is essential that there is funding to protect the health of voters, our elections, and our democracy.

The League has joined a letter addressing the Senate Committee on Rules and Administration, urging the Senate to make additional investments in state and local elections. 

LWVUS joined a letter sent to the White House and staff of Senators McConnell, Blunt, Schumer and Klobuchar asking them to make appointments to the Federal Election Commission (FEC).

The League sent a letter to U.S. Senators encouraging them to support and pass a resolution making September National Democracy Month.
