The League is pleased today to celebrate International Women's Day (IWD), an annual occasion that honors the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future.

On March 3, 1913, 5,000 suffragists from across the country gathered in Washington, DC, to demand the right to vote, helping pave the way for the 19th Amendment.

The lawyer’s lounge in the Supreme Court building is a soothing shade of green with high ceilings, large windows and portraits of obscure associate justices from centuries past staring down from the walls.

In last night’s State of the Union (SOTU) address, President Obama addressed many crucial issues affecting our country. His remarks touched on some of the League’s priority issues including voting rights, climate change, immigration and gun violence.
